How to add A records?

DNS records can be added via cPanel -> Zone Editor. In order to add A records for your nameservers you need to do the following:

  1. Login to WHM and click on Edit DNS Zone
  2. Scroll down below Add New Entries Below this Line
  3. In the first field enter ns1 and then choose the record to be A record via the drop down menu. A new field will show up and you need to enter the IP address of your first nameserver there. That IP will be provided by us.
  4. Do the same with your secondary nameserver and click Save.

You now have A entries added for your private nameservers and they will function properly. You can add other A records in the same way if you need to point a domain or subdomain to another server with different IP address.
